PRESS RELEASE

FD Electric Landcruiser Demonstrator Vehicle En Route to France for Three-Month Trial at Imerys EMILI Project

Eersel – 16 Februari 2026 – FD is proud to announce that its fully electric Landcruiser demonstrator vehicle has officially begun its journey to France, where it will undertake a three-month operational trial at the EMILI project operated by Imerys.

This milestone marks a significant step forward in FD’s mission to accelerate the electrification of heavy-duty and off-road vehicle fleets in demanding industrial environments. The demonstrator will be evaluated under real-world operating conditions, supporting EMILI’s commitment to sustainable and responsible resource development.

The FD Electric Landcruiser has been engineered to deliver zero-emissions performance without compromising the durability, reliability, and off-road capability required for mining and industrial applications. Its advanced electric drivetrain provides instant torque, reduced maintenance requirements, and significantly lower operational emissions compared to conventional diesel vehicles.

During the trial period, the vehicle will be integrated into EMILI’s operational fleet, where it will perform daily site duties including personnel transport, site inspection, and general utility work. The trial will allow both organizations to assess performance, efficiency, reliability, and the broader operational benefits of electrification.

“This deployment represents a critical validation phase for our electric platform,” said Frank Daams. CEO at FD. “Partnering with Imerys on the EMILI project gives us the opportunity to demonstrate that electric vehicles can meet the rigorous demands of industrial operations while supporting decarbonization goals.”

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment between FD and Imerys to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and advance innovative, sustainable technologies within the mining sector.

At the conclusion of the three-month trial, FD and Imerys will evaluate the results and explore opportunities for expanded electrification across operational fleets.
