FD Special Vehicles specializes in the development and production of bespoke 4x4 vehicles and accessories for professional applications, including mining, government, and NGO operations.

FUNCTION

We are looking for all-round vehicle technicians (m/f) for 24–38 hours per week. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building special-purpose vehicles for mining applications, K9 transport, and similar uses

  • Performing occasional on-site maintenance abroad

  • Modifying and customizing 4x4 vehicles

  • Assembling electric vehicles, including conversions of Toyota Land Cruisers to battery-powered systems

  • Supporting our engineers with the assembly of electric and ICE vehicles, from prototype stage through to production

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Practical experience and technical knowledge, with a willingness to share expertise with colleagues

  • An enthusiastic, professional attitude and the ability to work independently within a small, motivated team

  • Curiosity and a strong learning mindset, without a strict 9-to-5 mentality

  • Education in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field

  • Experience in the automotive sector and an intermediate level of technical reasoning is a plus

  • Residency in The Netherlands or Belgium, or EU citizenship
    (Applications from outside the EU cannot be considered)
